#PermianBasinGives is a day of giving and unity that will take place on February 21, 2023 throughout the Permian Basin, and showcases the generosity and caring-spirit of the people of West Texas.
Yes, here we go, more fundraising. We are getting so close to being able to begin construction on the library expansion, library improvements that we started planning back in 2017. Our goal then was to begin construction in 2022. Well things happen, like a pandemic, that slowed us down a little. We are now close to receiving another matching grant, this one for $100,000. Last fall we raised over $170,000 toward the match and now we need just over $27,000 to get it. That $100,000 will put us over 90% of what we need for construction. The expansion project will allow us to create a dedicated children’s area and a separate space for teens and young adults. Changes will include upgrades to adult areas and provide better public meeting spaces for everyone. For the list of this year’s participants click the link:
