E-books at APL

APL offers three sources of eBooks for you to download and use on your personal device.  Our friendly and knowledgeable staff can help you get started.

1.  From our library catalog, you have access to over 45,000 classics and titles in the public domain from the Project Gutenberg.  Search by title or subject, and look for “Gutenberg.”  (Warning: do not search on “Gutenberg” or you may lock up your device with too many results.)

2.  From our TexShare group of online resources.  Ebooks from EBSCOHost includes titles from the world’s leading business, technology, trade, reference, academic, and scholarly publishers. Log in to our catalog to visit TexShare. Your library card number is required.

1. Go to the Apple App Store
2. Find SimplyE
3. Download and install
4. Open the app
5. Choose to find a library and select Alpine Public Library
6.Enter your library card ID and password (PIN) to search, borrow, and read! Come by the library and we’ll help you get started.
Currently requires iOS 9.3 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
The Android version of SimplyE is available in the Google Play store and is working!
