The Cowboy Poetry Gathering is excited to partner with the Alpine Public Library to announce an evening of cowboy music and poetry featuring Andy Wilkinson and Joel Nelson. This free event takes place on November 7, from 7-9 PM, at the Library.
Performing:
Andy Wilkinson has written poetry and music all his life, and teaches in the Honors College at Texas Tech.
Joel Nelson has made his living, either directly or indirectly, with horses and cattle since college graduation. He began writing while serving in Vietnam and has been a serious writer and reciter of traditional and free-verse poetry for many years.
Meet-and-greet:
A VIP meet-and-greet with refreshments will be held prior to the main event from 5-6 PM. Tickets for the meet-and-greet can be purchased through our website for $50, with all proceeds supporting the Alpine Public Library, a 501(c)(3) community venue that relies on fundraising and donations for over 64% of its budget.
